Ugh, black mold in the shower is the worst 😩 but it is very killable. Here’s what actually works, from strongest to mildest, so you can pick based on how bad it is.

The heavy hitters (kill black mold fast)

1. Bleach (sodium hypochlorite)

  • Mix 1 cup bleach + 1 gallon water

  • Spray, let sit 10–15 minutes, then scrub

  • Works great on tile, grout, glass

  • ⚠️ Don’t mix with vinegar or ammonia (toxic gas)

2. Hydrogen peroxide (3%)

  • Spray directly (no dilution)

  • Let sit 10 minutes

  • Scrub and rinse
